Mario Cesar Nascimento Júnior Biography

MUSICIAN - DRUMMER/PERCUSSIONIST MUSIC EDUCATOR CULTURAL PRODUCER Musician, Drummer, Percussionist, Music Educator and Cultural Producer. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Foreign Trade (2012) and a Degree in Music (2013) from UNIVALI (University of Vale do Itajaí) with Honors. He was a special (visiting) student in the Master's Degree in Music at UDESC (University of the State of Santa Catarina) in 2013. He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Music Education and Musical Practices from UNIVALI (2019) and is currently studying for a Master's Degree in Education at UNIVALI (2023). The musician from Itajaí, Mario Jr (Mariozinho), has been working professionally for over 20 years, in the city of Itajaí – SC, as well as stages, cultural spaces and educational environments of the State of Santa Catarina–Brazil and other countries such as Argentina, Chile and France. As a studio musician, he has recorded over 30 albums and DVDs. He has been a professor at the Conservatory of Popular Music of Itajaí “Carlinhos Niehues” since 2011, and at the University of Vale do Itajaí–UNIVALI since 2021, in addition to working on music education projects. He participated in the book "Ritmos Brasileiros em forma de rudimentos" by Robertinho Silva, released in 2023. This is his first work as co-author of a book, beginning his career as an author.
