Ramon Montagner Biography

He began his studies at the age of 12 and soon became a professional, having since worked with different musical styles.  From 1992 to 2006 he accompanied singer-songwriter Johnny Alf on tours and recordings.  In 1998, he recorded in partnership with drummer Alexandre Cunha the video “Brazilian Duet - Overcoming Limits”.  His first solo album, Boyya (Mix House), was released in 2000 and features guest appearances by HermetoPaschoal, Mané Silveira, Sizão Machado and others.  In 2006 released his second album "SAMBASÓ" and the DVD "Brushes in the Brazilian Music", the first dvd/class on the subject made in Brazil.  His album third “Atemporal” was released in 2012 and fourth album called “Moldura dos Pés” was re;eased in 2017. Last year Ramon released his latest Ep Called “Mover”.  Since 2006 accompanies the singer Luiza Possi in recordings and shows. She also works with the Falamansagroup and Heliópolis Symphonic Orquestra. He has performed and held clinics and masterclasses in many countries as Italy, Portugal Germany, Holland, Uruguay, Argentina, Swedem, Canada, Denmark and USA with a heated response from the audience.  He has 3 books released (“Drumset and Bass in Brazilian rhythms” (2007); Rhythmic Imagination – Brazilian Rhythms Coordination Studies (2017) and Rhythmic Imagination- Studies for the Development of the Push Pull Technique” (2022) and preparing latest one about his Slide Technique.  He recorded content last year to some of the biggest Teaching Platforms as Drumeo, Drumchannel and Open Minded Drumming.  It is endorsee Tama Drums, Meinl Cymbals, Evans Drumheads
